Black Crow: I have no BC’s to report, but there were some interesting route choices (let’s call them that for want of a more accurate description) made during the Kooyoora weekend. I assume that these will be covered in our Noodle award.

Note: Because of the unexpectedly large turnout of competitors there was a shortage of maps. If anyone missed out please contact Lorraine and she can organise for you to get one.

Trailer: Andrew Wallace would like someone to tow the trailer, from the Relays next weekend, back to Nigels Place after the event is over. If you can help, drop Andrew a Email acfwallace79@live.com.au

Coming events.

Saturday 13 September. Bendigo Club Relays.

Map: Wildflower Drive

Organiser: Darren and Raylee Eenjes

Start: Assemble at 12.45 (or earlier) for a mass start at 1.00 pm.

Courses: There will be a long hard, short hard, and moderate course, plus a novice course not included in relay competition. Staging area will be at dam, near intersection of Strathfieldsaye Rd and Watson Drive. All parking along Watson Drive.

Directions: From Bendigo: From the centre of the city (Shamrock Hotel) travel east towards Strathfieldsaye. After two or three kms (approx) you will come to the first of a set of three traffic lights (within about two hundred metres) at Strath Village. Continue towards Strathfieldsaye and after approx four to five kms look for an O sign on the left at Watson Drive.

From Castlemaine: Travel to Bendigo via North Harcourt, Sedgwick and Mandurang. As you come into Spring Gully (outskirts of Bendigo) turn right at the One Tree Hill Hotel (roundabout) and continue along Retreat Road/Somerville Street to the next big roundabout (approx two to three kms). Turn right towards Strathfieldsaye and then as above for Bendigo people.

From Melbourne: Turn off Calder Freeway towards Sutton Grange then continue on towards Bendigo via Sedgwick and Mandurang. As you come into Spring Gully (outskirts of Bendigo) turn right at the One Tree Hill Hotel (roundabout) and continue as for Castlemaine people.
