VICTORIAN STATE RELAY CHAMPS<\/span>. Report on the Website<\/a><\/p>\n

Black Crows<\/span><\/strong>. There was a report of a couple of BC\u2019s in the minutes published on 27 October, well here are a couple more.<\/p>\n

I have it on very good authority that in a recent 24 hour rogaine a team made up of two or our top athletes entered under the name of the \u2018Night Owls. I believe that they slept for the greater part of the night \u2013 which wasn\u2019t very Night-Owlish\u2019!<\/p>\n

Another team entered under the team name of \u2018Nothing\u2019 and I am told that that was the number of points they earned.<\/p>\n

Organiser and Course Setter<\/span>: Daryl Fleay.<\/p>\n

Start<\/span>: 12.30 to 2.00 pm. Courses close at 3.00 pm.<\/p>\n

Format<\/span>: Five courses: 1, 2 and 3 difficult navigation, 4 moderate and 5 easy. This end of the map hasn\u2019t been used for some time and should prove very interesting \u2013 especially in the hands of a master course setter.<\/p>\n

Directions<\/span><\/strong>: From Bendigo<\/span>: From the centre of Bendigo (Fountain): travel along Mitchell Street\/Carpenter Street\/Spring Gully Road, through Mandurang to Sedgwick. From the Sedgwick Hall, proceed West along Spring\u2019s Rd (O sign). After 400M turn right into Hogan\u2019s Rd (O sign). Proceed 2.4KM along Hogan\u2019s Rd then turn left into Kerr\u2019s Rd (O sign). The assembly area is 500M along Kerr\u2019s Rd.<\/p>\n

From Castlemaine<\/span>: Travel via North Harcourt to Sedgwick, then as for Bendigo.<\/p>\n

From Melbourne<\/span>: travel via the Calder to Bendigo, then as above for Bendigo. Alternatively: turn off the Calder to Sutton Grange and continue to Sedgwick, then as for Bendigo<\/p>\n
